THE PDP STRONGLY CRITICISES BBC WORLD SERVICE PROPAGENDA
On Radio 4 at the  10 p.m. broadcast on Friday - 25th July 2013, a news item on Burma referred Aung San Suu Kyi as the Opposition Leader and democracy activist, which you must know on the facts, is wholly wrong, as she does not objectively deserve any of these adjectives to describe her political conduct in the country. First, since she was chosen to lead the NLD after the uprising in 1988/9, she has herself not only been politically incompetent and inept, but also, highly delusional. She expected the West to send their sons and daughters to fight and die against the military regime, so as to secure as political leader and the freedom of the people of Burma.
For 22 years, she shouted for democracy while at the same time consorting with military officers in a personal way, which completely compromised her political situation. She became an object of blackmail by the military regime and there was no realistic prospect of ending military rule and to bring democracy, freedom and free speech.

When the blackmail pressure became unbearable, she submitted to the military regime's demands for her to recognise the 2008 military Constitution by taking part in a selection process, which Aung San Suu Kyi and other 43 members of the NLD participated, so as to become members of the Military Assembly dominated by former military people and their supporters. She has no chance of making any political difference.
Since after making a U-Turn in March 2012, Aung San Suu Kyi never talks about democracy, and never stands on the side of the people, including ethnic minority communities. The people of Burma do not treat her as their leader, but are accusing her as "the 'liar". She is lauding now expressing her ambition of becoming President under the 2008 Constitution, which is a military dictatorship.
Giving these factual political realities, the BBC attribution of Aung San Suu Kyi as the "Opposition Leader and democracy activist" is patently misleading and pure propaganda calculated to  give the people of Burma and the world, a mirage of political reality to save the fortunes of a failed political leader and failed political party - the NLD, both of whom have failed to bring democracy, freedom, free speech, employment for the millions of unemployed adults and young. Nazi-type-ethnic cleansing, atrocities against minorities, forcing them out of their lands by torching them by motorised Nazi-type squads, which she has condoned by silence and which the BBC has not condemned, clearly shows the moral bankruptcy of the organisation. No wonder LBC Radio has been voted the best and most reliable world news organisation. The BBC claims of "being a reliable world news radio, as it happens in the world, is not only risible and wholly despised by listeners in South East Asia, Africa, the Middle East and in Britain.  The BBC was once a reliable news organisation, but your arrogance and treating the people of Burma and other countries as imbeciles, has been your undoing. Would you please tell the people of Burma, just one political achievement or economic benefit, which Aung San Suu Kyi has brought to the people of Burma? Shame and millions of dead under the military regime in the 22 years she been leader of the failed NLD is the failure to end military regime.
Yours faithfully,

Bo Aung Din
Chairman
Parliamentary Democracy Party (Burma)
GHQ (Liberated Area)
